My girlfriend and I just adopted Kelly yesterday at the Pet Expo. She is a terrific dog so far, and has been ok with our cats. I made a PayPal donation in Kelly's honor, thank you SBPBR for the work you all do for the dogs. We'll send pictures later of Kelly enjoying her new life with us.

In February 2000 I adopted a sweet little chow named Capers from you. I changed her name to Cinder and she has been the love of my life for almost 14 years. She just passed away Dec 22, and though it was very sad to lose her, she was the best Chow chow according to every vet and landlord I ever had. She is survived by my 9 year old Chow chow Stella, who will miss her. I got her when she was only 4 months old and she was spayed and crate-trained. You do great work. Thank you for my wonderful girl

I adopted Halle (a maltese mix) from your foster mom Beverly Bird December 6, 2003. She was 2 1/2 years old. She had recently given birth. She started off as a wild child and I wasn't sure if we were going to make it but somewhere along the way she became my love, my life. She is now called Halle Kate. Very healthy, full of spirit. My vet feels she will make it to 15 or 16. He is a wonderful vet. My previous dog was a Schnauzer. I could not bring another dog in our lives now.

It is with heavy heart to announce our beloved Shaggy...who we adopted 10 years ago has passed away from hemangiosarcoma...heart cancer.

A very, very rare cancer in Chinese Crested dogs..

I don't know WHY this happened to our boy, from diagnosis to death was less than a week.

I am thinking that he was just an angel, and they needed him in Heaven to help people be happy.

Thank you for giving him to me. I will love him forever...

My family and I adopted a red cocker spaniel named Daisy from you guys back in 2005. She was about 4 at the time. Unfortunately, we had to put her down this past August. I just wanted to thank you for bringing her into our lives. She made us whole and was such a joy to be around. We all adored and loved her. Thank you for all that you do with these dogs. The world is a much better place because of people like you. love2

Three years ago this December I adopted Molly the six year old purebred Welsh Terrier. She had been a great pet and companion. I am retired now and she is now loving life in Southern California. Molly is a great pup even though she is almost nine years old....

I'm so glad to see you all are still hard at work rescuing these wonderful pups. I adopted Dancer the miniature poodle from you in 2003 and he's still with us and going strong. I'm starting to look around for a young companion for him, so I'll be checking back regularly.

Keep up the great work!
