Pugsley was examined by his eye surgeon, Dr. Cook, of Veterinary Vision, Inc., on October 20, 2009. His retinas are healthy and he is scheduled for surgery on October 27. Dr. Cook will be doing both the cataract removal and the cherry eye surgery.

Check back for further updates

Pugsley had his surgery on October 26. He was checked again on October 27 and all is well. He'll need some meds for a few weeks and has to wear the 'space collar' for a while until his eyes heal. He can now see and can have a normal, healthy life.

Thanks again to all those caring people who made this possible.

Update - November 15, 2009

Pugsley has had another vet check and is doing fine.

He has had his stitches removed and just needs to continue his eye drops for a few weeks.

His adoption is pending!

Update - November 19, 2009

Pugsley is off to his new home.

He has been adopted!
